Support the Mother Road-Mojave Trails National Monument

The creation of the Mother Road-Mojave Trails National Monument will protect a 103-mile stretch of historic Route 66. This stretch of the route through California's Mojave Desert is the largest, wild, pristine section of the Mother Road.

Well-known Route 66 advocate, Jim Conkle, and his sidekick, Lucas Wilgers of The Wildlands Conservancy, are hitting the Mother Road to garner support for the establishment of the Mother Road-Mojave Trails National Monument!

From July 6 to July 30, 2015, the team will travel Route 66 from Barstow to Chicago to Santa Monica in a van, or as the team likes to call it, a traveling petition, to gain signatures of support for the establishment of the monument.
